We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty. - Mother Theresa

Sneaking in after dark, Hank and his Bone Gnawer allies steal every ounce of meat from the restaurant. He goes to work for her family, but is unable to hold down the job due to tribal obligations. Hank rules in favor of the kinfolk, which wins him a nod from the Silver Fangs of the area, but earns him the ire of the Fianna. He then leaves for the Bay Area.

The first two weeks of the challenge were spent with Hank establishing trust between the group and himself. He goes to great lengths with self-depricating jokes and humor, and joins in multiple hunting parties to prove his credentials. After three weeks, he is able to sit all four of them down at a meal that he cooks himself. He gets the four talking at first to him, then to one another. In the end, the four figure out the issue among themselves, and Hank is thanked for his time after being elevated to Adren.
2014 to 2015 - After traveling through Northern California and Northern Nevada, word of the Protectorate reaches his ears and he moves to Reno, Nevada where he opens up "Soup's On", a soup kitchen/bakery/shelter for the Bone Gnawers and Ratkin. There, he cultivates informants and friends.
