“Night comes to the desert all at once, as if someone turned off the light.” ― Joyce Carol Oates

Ladies and Gentlemen, Kindred of genteel nature,
I have been afforded the honor of inviting you to a gala celebration, to celebrate the coronation of Archbishop Jane Doe. Archbishop Doe welcomes visitors to her Domain, where she will be hosting a proper Mass for those are interested, as well as a more social fête for those who are less inclined to participate in the religious ceremony.
The gathering will be held at St. Mary’s Basilica in Phoenix, a historic church abundant with Roman architecture and numerous artistic stained glass windows. It truly is a majestic sight, no matter your faith.
As always, the Traditions of our society will be upheld – along with the social decorum expected of Kindred with grace. Please join us in this joyous affair.
Seneschal of Phoenix, Arizona
((OOC: CoC: 3, City: 2, Ventrue: 2))
Join us for an evening of Requiem! With the recent change of Praxis and the shaking up of the city, the Domain looks to let the dust settle and find niches for their political machinations. The Covenants have waxed and waned over the last few months, so the scramble for favor is quite intense. With the rumors regarding Tempe, there are many interesting tidbits floating about – new territory, lost territory and abysmal monsters.
ICly, game will be hosted at St. Mary’s Basilica Wikipedia. Also check out the offical site here.
We hope to have you visit for our Featured Game. Come enjoy our hospitality and have a good time socializing with friends!
Garou of the Nation,
We battle. We war. Our enemies are never-ending and determined to destroy our Mother and all She stands for. We lose friends and loved ones every day, fighting for Her and the world She blessed us with.
However, we are not without joy. We are not without the need to revel. Our Mother wishes the best for us, wishes a full life for us. We are not simply meat for the grinder, nor are we solely warriors.
It has been a tradition in the past, where tournaments and contests would be held. Where gatherings of Garou from across the region and nation would join to share stories, break bread and settle grudges. We must remember the whole of our lives, not just the violence and war that comes at the hands of our enemies. We must rejoice in the gift of breath that She gives us, not simply count the breaths until we pass.
To this end, I would invite those Garou who have the time to give pause, who have the time to rejoice in the lives we have been given, to attend a gathering in Phoenix. Contests will be held, the Sept eldest of each Auspice will be providing challenges for those of their Moon. Stories will be shared, bonds strengthened, deeds remembered.
I invite you to our Sept. I invite you to remember what it is to embrace the lives we are given.

Hello all! We’re hosting another Game of the Month – we’d love for you to attend. We’re trying to break away from the dire combat-driven plots that are quite frequent in Apocalypse (with it being a venue about fighting against the end of the world). In character we’ll be hosting a ‘tournament’ of sorts, where each Auspice will be given opportunity to test themselves against others of their moon phase. We’re looking for socialization, conversation and good-natured competitiveness. Of course, with creatures of Rage, challenges of a more violent nature may happen – however that’s between players and the role-play that brings them to that point.
We’d love to have you out and enjoy your company!
"That's what you all are [...] You are a lost generation." Gertrude Stein by way of Ernest Hemingway
In my younger years I was a resident of Paris in a time when it was awash with American expatriates. They came to find culture, music, artistic freedom, alcohol that wouldn't get you preached at, and not infrequently because America hated them and their degenerate ways.
Fast forward to now: I am a Parisian expatriate in America. I came for essentially none of the reasons Americans came to France, and yet, c'est la vie, I am here.
With that reminiscence in mind, I thank the Brujah of Phoenix for their recent rave gathering. I see your grimy warehouse party and raise with a grimy warehouse party of a previous age - with less grime, no prohibition, and one hundred percent less warehouse.
Consider all and sundry of the Camarilla and those it views with favor invited to a gathering in the style of Génération au Feu. A time when style was paramount, the best of American music and poetry was paired with the best culture of Europe, a time between wars, what is delightfully referred to here in the United States as "The Jazz Age."
And as a preemptive post-script, those outside the domain are perfectly welcome, so long as you follow the Traditions and pester your respective Primogen here in Phoenix. I'd hate for a guest to be savaged by our Scourge or find themselves in a prestation debt that makes the Depression look like a fiscal hiccup.
Things are different in the desert. The sky is bigger. The stars are brighter. The sunsets stop you in your tracks. It’s a feeling that can’t be conjured, landscaped or kindled with twinkling bulbs.
Projected against this rich backdrop is a panorama of urban sophistication: Resorts and spas that drop jaws and soothe souls. Stadiums and arenas worthy of the world’s biggest sports spectacles. Restaurants with inspired cuisine and inspiring patio views. Shopping centers as stylish and eclectic as the fashions they house.
This is the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area— Arizona’s urban heart and America’s sunniest metropolis. But it is only when the sun goes down that the true masters of this glittering desert gem, the Kindred of the Camarilla, awaken to assert their dominion.
Tonight is the first time since the entire Kindred population of Phoenix vanished with nary a trace five years ago that the new residents of the city have sent out an invitation beyond their own borders. They have invited the Ivory Tower at large to come and see the jewel in the desert that the Praxis of Phoenix has become under the guidance of Prince Haldane and his court.
But this debut is deliciously spiced with danger. Rumors run wild that this invitation is less a celebration of the Camarilla ascendant than simply ‘bread and circuses’ to appease a restless populace. Whispers speak of infernalist influence in the Silent Night of 2010, and that those influences may still be active. Discreet queries regarding how effective the lauded suppression efforts against the local Sabbat packs have actually been circulate among the Neonates. The Tremere chantry has fallen silent for the second time in a decade, while gossip abounds regarding tensions between the local Kings and Roses and their clan mates at large. And all around the edges of the domain, the Independents, the Autarkis, and the Caitiff grow further disaffected with the scraps on which they are forced to sustain themselves.
All who are interested in separating rumor from reality are welcome to join us to experience all that the Valley of the Sun has to offer a Kindred. To engage in a bit of malapropism, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make ye fret.”
