Timeline

Morgana1.png
In 1992, a mage brought a baby to Kikimora, an apostate thyrsus witch leaving alone in the wilds of Puerto Rico, as payment for her help. The mage told Kikimora that the child was orphaned.

Kikimora named the child Cara, meaning beloved, and raised her as her own, far from what Kikimora considered the corrupt and dangerous world. Cara was home schooled without electricity or modern technology and taught herbal remedies and small magiks in the Appalachian Hoodoo tradition.

In 2009, Cara awoke on the Thyrsus path, a transition that felt natural and comfortable and expected. She took on the shadow name of Leshii.

In the early spring of 2014, something attacked the cottage and Kikimora bid Leshii hide in the well at the heart of the garden and hallow. Kikimora held off the attack long enough for the other mages to arrive and rescue Leshii, but the old witch perished doing so.

Leshii went back with the other mages and joined the Arrow, to train and learn so that she can protect herself and others.

Character Description

Leshii is a quiet and timid young woman who looks out of place in the city, dressed in an old fashioned style long skirted dress, with a home-made shawl over it. She is more comfortable in nature than in the city, and always carried around with her a basket full of all sorts of odd things.

While she sometimes offers up surprisingly wise observations, Leshii comes across as slow and naive; she has no experience with many of the things that others consider to be normal and still seems to believe that the world ought to be fair. Finding it hard to follow some conversations and unused to large crowds, she tends to drift to sit quietly at the side, working on some sort of craft project.

Nimbus

Everything seems more vibrant, more alive, recalling some distant time when fairytales were real and where a journey over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house made anything possible. The plants seem bigger, brighter, while the mundanities of the modern world seem like some sort of false facade. Magic is real, and she is the Witch of the Woods.

Associations

Leshii is living with Morgan and running her herbshop. She recently stopped dating Skittles

Looking For

Ties with anyone who would have had gone to visit a reclusive apostate thyrsus healer in PR over the last 50 some years and would know Kikimora.

Rumors

Leshii keeps breaking the rules because she doesn't know what is or isn't against them.

When she worked as a barista, she cast a spell on every customer to make their day a little brighter and happier.

There is something lurking in the darkness waiting for her, which is why Kikimora never let her go outside after nightfall.
