1988: Studies with Frank Abagnale (“Catch Me If You Can”)
1989: Meets with Nikolai Occam (Josh Parrish)at a Carthian Debate Club in Des Moines to argue the superiority of American
capitalism over Soviet-style Communism and central economic planning. Sadly, their debate was never settled. Invictus interrupted
the debate, with a handful of Invictus planning to "teach these Carthians a lesson." Half moved in toward Nikolai, and half towards
Lorenzo. However, each group let the Carthian orators speak, and that was a mistake. Within minutes, each group was persuaded
that the other half of the Invictus were secretly in league with the Carthians. The Invictus ended up brawling with one another,
while Nikolai and Lorenzo agreed to a debate rematch and went their separate ways.
1990: Masterminds the Gardner Museum theft, valued at over $300 million- the largest art theft in world history; has let details
leak to the FBI, since it’s past the statue of limitations
1991: Begins a series of casino scams
1991: Lorenzo plans for a "test run" of his casino scams, using a riverboat casino owned by a young Invictus (name left open for ties). The mobile casino, when it's outside of any Domain, avoids any issues with Praxis holders, so it's a prime target, and a high-stakes poker game is a prime opportunity.
Lorenzo was unaware that Dessarei de Bordeaux had also planned to enlighten this young Invictus with a tribulation, and so would become part of that tribulation, as well as gaining a little "enlightenment" himself. The night of the poker game, Dessi revealed herself, and distracts Lorenzo sufficiently that he only takes second place in the tournament, closely following Dessi's chosen proxy. When the casino owner went to the safe to retrieve the prize money, though, the cash was missing. Lorenzo avoided some suspicion, since he would have won a tidy sum, and therefore it was less logical for him to have stolen the prize money, but Dessi was less credulous.
After a brief negotiation of Prestation from the casino owner to Lorenzo, to replace the missing winnings (and to keep quiet about the failures in his security), Lorenzo returned to his cabin, only to find Dessi waiting for him. Dessi employed her various talents to coax an admission of sorts from Lorenzo, who offered her a portion of the take. She refused, smiling, asserting that she only wanted the young Invictus to face a little tribulation over the lost funds, and who ended up with them was irrelevant.
Even so, when she left Lorenzo's cabin, she stole the take on her way out, leaving instead a note that now Lorenzo can experience a tribulation as well.
Dessi also shared a suspicion (for the price of a Boon) with the casino owner before she disembarked- the suspicion that some Carthian rival of Lorenzo's must have known of Lorenzo's plan to play in the tournament, and stole the winnings to get at both Lorenzo and the young Invictus. This little black mark against the Carthians as a whole amused Dessi, and apparently pleased some of her family . Since then, she has seemed a bit guilty over it (though that may be an act). She's never seemed very upset, since enlightenment is a reward, but perhaps the tribulation was more than necessary given the circumstances. She does still giggle, though, over the wild goose chase the young Invictus went on, pursuing a Carthian who didn't exist.
1992: Travels to South Africa following the end of Apartheid; pulled an integrated set of con jobs on the Johannesburg casinos

1996: Runs a stolen car scam with Albert Greene (Aaron Gomez)

2006: Personally involved in the Museu da Chacara theft; comes up with the idea of disappearing into the carnival parade himself
2007: Foundation of the Association for Research into Crimes against Art (ARCA). Lorenzo mocks them.
2007: After Atlas is targeted by industrial spy Tamara Saldana, Connor Quence is assigned to learn how much she stole in terms of both money and information. A detailed audit indicates that she not only took a substantial amount of money, but that she may also have been operating freelance, and planning to sell the information to the highest bidder.
Recalling their collaboration on the WorldCom affair, Connor contacts Lorenzo, since he is not affiliated with Atlas, but is well-connected within the criminal community. Connor offers Lorenzo a piece of the action. Whether for the profit, or because of some remaining Boon owed from the alleged "Atlas job" in 2004, Lorenzo agrees, and learns that Atlas' information is not on the market yet, so it may be possible to head off Saldana.
Working a two-man con, Connor openly arranges for Atlas to target Lorenzo, which Lorenzo uses to get into Saldana's good graces. Over time- and using methods neither will disclose- Lorenzo and Connor amassed enough information about an industrial espionage professional to blackmail her into returning Atlas' information. The money she took appears to have been taken by an unknown third party, and it's anyone's guess whether that was a ruse by Saldana, Lorenzo, Connor, some combination of the three, or none of the above.
2008: Masterminds the Foundation E.G. Buhrle theft in Zurich; works with Abet (James Kiddie), Pieter De Vries, aka Roger Kipling (Casey Jones) and Colette (Sara Bryant) to both handle the theft and ensure that the recovered forgeries are accepted as genuine
2012: Personally involved in the Kunsthal theft in the Netherlands, as well as working again with Peter De Vries
The Dark side of the Sunset
- While Lorenzo was more reliant on dexterity as a younger kindred, he has refocused on a more social, confidence man style of crime as a more mature (allegedly) Daeva. On the other hand, some argue that the phrase 'mature Daeva' is an oxymoron, so take this change with a grain of salt.

Anything 'Cept the Truth: Quotes and Rumors
"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." Helen Keller.
"Dean-o is the best distraction that money can buy. You don't have to give him sheet music to sing better than Ella herself." Andy Johnson
